Default ESPN CLeveland believes Cook would be a superstar in Cleveland

ESPN Cleveland believes free agent Jared Cook would be a "superstar" playing under coach Rob Chudzinski and OC Norv Turner in Cleveland.
"Superstar" is an ambitious prediction for a player with just 131 catches in 59 career games, but Chud and Norval are among the league's most tight-end friendly coaches. The Browns are expected to let free agent TEs Alex Smith and Ben Watson walk, and have money to burn, so it wouldn't be surprising if they make a run at Cook.

Super star might be a bit strong, but highly productive is my belief.
the above post is usually just my opinion, and may or may not be shared by some members of the browns organization.

any TE that can catch is going to be productive in this offense...we dont need to set our sites on one guy and let others slip thru.

He's too big and stiff (stop it) to play wideout, IMO.
He's a receiving tight end. But, I wouldn't overstate him.
Dustin Keller is just as or more athletic, but not as large.
    I like Cook just fine.
Reminds me of the old Billy Jo Dupree or Jimmie Giles days...
    He's a must sign, I think.

I'm sure Norv is having the scouts checking all the basketball courts for another Antonio Gates.

I really like Cook. I drafted him as my fantasy TE last year, as he was expected to have a break out year. I was disappointed and I'm not sure if it was QB play or the offensive system, or a combination. I think he has a lot of potential though.

Cook would be no more productive in Cleveland than he was here in Tennessee, and for the same reason.... lack of use !!

The Browns do throw to the TE a LITTLE more than the Titans do, but not by much.

I have heard numerous radio personalities say "Cook is not a great TE, look at his numbers" .... but those people are all blind, stupid or both, because they point to his lack of receptions as support for their claims, yet somehow fail to understand that to have receptions, your team must throw you the ball !!

Cook was only on the field for about HALF the snaps with the Titans offense the past few seasons, so how can you blame HIM for a lack of catches ??

Granted, Jared's disinterest in blocking was the main reason for his limited on the field presence, but the truth of the matter is that he is leaving Tennessee because the Titan's GM Ruston Webster is only going to offer a salary in accordance with how the team is going to USE him, as opposed to what he is TRULY worth to a team that will make full use of his talents....which is how his agent wants to see Cook paid.

Jared Cook would be no more productive or valuable in Cleveland than in Nashville, so I do not see him ending up with the Browns.
Will the REAL Brandon Weeden please stand up ??

Well chudz and turner love tight ends in their offenses. I think he would be used a lot and be far more productive here.

I agree with Mickey, in the fact that Chud and Norv use TE's a lot, so, Cook would likely see more play time as a receiving TE but if what I'm reading is true and he isn't a sufficient blocker then I hope that the Browns show no interest.
