Nets 113, Cavaliers 95: Lack of effort shows in latest loss

It was a classic case of one team having a lot to play for.
The other was just playing out the string.
The playoff-bound Brooklyn Nets obliterated the Cavaliers on Wednesday, 113-95, before 14,863 at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavs (22-52), who lost their 10th game in a row, insist they have not quit on their coach.
“Have I checked out?” Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving asked. “No. I’m out there playing with a sprained AC joint (in my shoulder). That thought never crossed my mind.”
Coach Byron Scott is desperately trying to hang onto his job.
He was asked if he’s worried about his job security after the Cavs lost their 14th game in their last 16 outings.
“Not really,” Scott said. “Whatever happens, happens.”
