    Jets waived CB Marcus Williams.
Williams had six interceptions in 2015 and was a starter in 2016, but he fell out of favor and became superfluous after the Jets added Morris Claiborne. Oct 9 - 3:59 PM

we should put a claim on him

couldn't hurt to bring him in, our defense may be much improved but there's always room for more.

true dat, especially given how many deep passes we've been burned by in recent years.

I see that Lions LT Taylor Decker has been activated and will start tomorrow against the Browns. That explains the release a few days earlier by the Lions of former #2 overall pick, LT Greg Robinson.

Robinson flamed out with the Rams and now has been cut by the Lions too.

However - there had to have been some talent there at one time to have been drafted at #2 overall. Especially with Joe Thomas being excused for the balance of the 2017 season, do we take a flyer on him to see if there is anything left to build upon?

The upside to making a move for him would be that all it would cost us is cash - no draft picks. The down side is that he has no PS eligibility left, so he must go on the active roster. Which means another tackle must go. So we value him more than Zach Banner?

    Thoughts?

Oops - forgot this. Robinson was waived with an injury designation - meaning even if we were interested, Greg would not be ready.

I saw that release in the news, didn't really pay it much attention, especially since it said he was released with an injury designation. I think I'll agree with Chill, rather just stick with what we've got...for now.

Many reasons a talent, even a high drafted talent, doesn't quite make it in the NFL. Injury, just not talented enough for the next level, physically and/or mentally and both of these reasons may apply to Robinson, don't really know but something has run afoul with him. So, I say stick with what we got.

WR Corey Coleman is back. The corresponding move was waiving Kasen Williams.
