  • With Trading Deadline looming, Tribe looks for answers; so do we...

Fundamentals, CAVS and myself, had briefly discussed trades before trade dead line a week ago or less, staying status quo or holding tight with what Indians have -- at that time I think Fundamentals and I agreed Indians could hold tight with the depth such as it is, and go forward.

With one proviso -- some tweaking to add some offense which Indians needed then, and despite nice recent improvement offense stats ( BA rising ) we still do.

$$$$$$ would be the issue -- and as Manny said tonight -- Indians won't gamble with the future, while trying to win this thing -- meaning trading top prospects period -- I'll question that outcome,
as I'm not sure that will hold true, as Indian F/O has stated that position many times and do a 360.

But with Gradys injury again in his right knee --uncertainity of how that will turn out ( 15 DL ) -- Choo not expected back until September maybe .

Right now we have Brantley -- Kearns -- ( starting to hit finally - GOOD happy for him ) Ezequiel in CF - who has speed offensively and defensively --( if he hits decent ) might hold this together.

However the fact Manny and F/O stated tonight they are SERIOUSLY looking for trades to be made for offense, to help pull Indians thru, speaks volumes of this necessity. may I suggest Durbin for Thome, both
on the short side of production -- joshing somewhat here -- $$$ will shoot that down.

So who is out there ? --- Kouzmanoff ? released -- Xavier Nady ? -- Can Valbuena spark -
What about Hoffman in Columbus ( logical to me ) -- going to look around -- and follow up on
this plus your suggestion -- in any event -- with trade dead line very close 10 days -- Indians will have to do something, while preparing for 2012 as well.
